The New Orleans Saints hold the No. 18 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. It’s smack dab in the middle of the first round meaning the top prospects will be off the board but perhaps that will push the Saints to move up and grab a prospect they absolutely have to have.

After the Saints’… um… interesting free agency so far, who are some draft prospects that the black and gold could trade up to land in the 2022 NFL Draft? Let’s take a look.

3. Kenyon Green, IOL

The Saints have their two starting guards for the 2022 season but that doesn’t mean they can’t try to get better at those spots. Andrus Peat and Cesar Ruiz shouldn’t be handed starting jobs this year and that’s why adding someone like Kenyon Green would be ideal for New Orleans.

Green not only can play both guard spots but he can also slot in at right tackle. If the Saints decide to move Ryan Ramczyk from right tackle to left tackle, perhaps Green is someone who could slide in and play right tackle instead.

Green’s draft stock is up and down, as sometimes he’s projected as a top 15 pick, but sometimes he’s projected to fall to the end of the first round. The Saints could play it safe and see if he falls to them at No. 18 but if he is still on the board after the first 12 or 13 picks, it might be hard for NOLA to pass on him.

Kenyon Green is absolutely someone worth trading up for.
