1. Melvin Gordon

There have been a lot of former Broncos on this list, haven’t there? Let’s add one more: Melvin Gordon. The Broncos were comfortable with moving on from Gordon after they saw how good Javonte Williams was despite the former Wisconsin product putting together a season in which he had 918 yards rushing and 10 total touchdowns.

Gordon is still very good and he’d be an excellent piece in the Saints’ offense. Spotrac projects his market value at one-year $5.2 million, which is a hell of a bargain for a guy who had over 900 yards rushing last year.

When Kamara returns to the team (assuming he is indeed slapped with a suspension), imagine having him, Gordon, and potentially Mark Ingram as the three running backs on the roster. That’d be one hell of a backfield in the Big Easy.

Running back is a lesser-talked-about position of need for the New Orleans Saints but it’s certainly a position they can’t ignore. Any of these running backs would be great fits in the Big Easy and could be had for cheap.
