The best wide receiver option available in free agency is a guy that Saints fans have wanted for years. His ties to LSU has always made him a popular name in New Orleans and now he’ll hit free agency for the first time in his career.

Landry spent the first four years of his career in Miami before the Dolphins traded him to Cleveland, where he then spent the next four years. The Browns cut ties with Landry and he’ll have the right to sign wherever he wants. Maybe he decides he wants to go back home to Louisiana and if he does, the Saints would be happy to take him in.

Landry had the worst year of his career in 2021 but it still would have been a good season for a Saints wide receiver. He totaled 52 catches for 570 yards and two touchdowns through 12 starts but a big factor there is that Landry didn’t have a great quarterback situation in the Dawg Pound.

Landry and Thomas together as the Saints’ two top receivers would be a lot of fun to watch and would take their offense from “meh” to amazing. Make this happen, Saints!
