Crimson Tide . Christian Harris. 49. player. 829. . Linebacker

Round 2: Pick 49 – Christian Harris, LB (Alabama)

With Kwon Alexander a free agent, the Saints are in a decent spot with Demario Davis and Pete Werner at linebacker but they could certainly use another one. Christian Harris would be a terrific addition to the defense.

Harris appeared in 15 games last season for the Crimson Tide and tallied 80 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks. He’s best at covering running backs and tight ends out of the backfield and the Saints would love to slot Harris in that role.

Some might want the Saints to heavily address the offense early on but Harris was the best player available at this point and he’d make NOLA a better team. It was hard to pass on him with the 49th pick.

Tigers . Ed Ingram. 98. player. 817. . Offensive Guard

Round 3: Pick 98 – Ed Ingram, OG (LSU)

The Saints’ offensive line is pretty much set in stone aside from needing a new left tackle but that doesn’t mean they can’t look to upgrade at offensive guard. Ed Ingram, a name that fans might know due to him playing at LSU, is someone the team could target in the third round.

Ingram is an intriguing name because not only could he provide an option at one of the two guard spots moving forward but he’s also someone who could play tackle if need be. If the Saints are able to move on from either Andrus Peat or Cesar Ruiz, Ingram is someone who could step in for them.
