1. Add multiple receivers

This might be something that can be worked in the draft as well as free agency but the NOLA Saints must add multiple receivers in order to help Winston succeed. He did well last year despite having Marquez Callaway as his best option. That can’t be his best weapon in 2022.

Michael Thomas is set to return but the Saints can’t hang their hats on him returning, especially considering that’s how they got screwed over last year. Callaway is a decent WR3/4 option but it’s time to find a WR2 and maybe a WR3 as well.

The draft is a great way for the Saints to fill this need, especially now that NOLA won’t have to spend their first-round selection on a quarterback. They’ll have plenty of options in the first round but they shouldn’t stop there.

There are plenty of talented names still waiting for a team in free agency, including familiar-face Emmanuel Sanders, Sammy Watkins, and Will Fuller. They could also spend multiple picks on wide receivers in the draft and if that’s the route they’d go, fans wouldn’t be upset in the slightest.

If NOLA wants Jameis Winston to succeed, then he needs reliable weapons to throw to. That’s why adding multiple receivers is the biggest thing left for the team to do between now and the start of training camp.
