1. Melvin Gordon

Alvin Kamara could face a suspension to begin the 2022 season so it’d be a smart decision for the Saints to bring in some help at the running back position. Melvin Gordon prevents a productive yet affordable option for the black and gold.

Gordon, who went in the first round to the Chargers in the 2015 NFL Draft, spent five years with the Bolts before signing with the Broncos in the 2020 offseason. He was excellent in both years in Denver but with the emergence of Javonte Williams, the Broncos didn’t necessarily need him anymore.

Gordon had over 900 yards rushing in each of the past two seasons while also finding the end zone 10 total times in both years he spent in Denver. He’d be an excellent offensive weapon to add to the Saints’ arsenal and wouldn’t break the bank. Spotrac has Gordon’s projected market value at one-year, $5.2 million.

That’s not bad for a guy who could elevate the Saints’ offense in a big way.
