The New Orleans Saints need a quarterback. Aaron Rodgers is off the board, Russell Wilson was traded but to a different team, and Carson Wentz is also not an option. While NOLA has frequently been linked to Jameis Winston, what about some of the less talked about options for the team at the sport’s most important position?

These four names probably aren’t the most attractive options for Saints fans but at this point, New Orleans has to be exploring all options. Let’s check out some under-the-radar signal-caller options for the black and gold.

4. Jordan Love

With Rodgers staying in Green Bay, the next thing the Packers have to address is what will happen to Jordan Love? They traded up to draft Love in the 2020 NFL Draft with the intention of having him succeed Rodgers in Green Bay but with Rodgers winning back-to-back NFL MVP awards, that dream was dashed.

It didn’t help that when Love had an opportunity to start this past season, he stunk it up. To be fair, a lot of the Packers’ top weapons missed practice leading up to that game due to testing positive for COVID-19 so Love didn’t have a full chance to work with the starters.

Love isn’t going to be a popular trade target for Saints fans because of the limited sample size but the dude was a first-round pick for a reason. There’s potential there. And if he were to come to New Orleans, they’d have him for cheap the next two years and not have to necessarily commit to him past the 2023 season.
