Saints mock draft: NOLA attacks offensive side of the ball
Round 4: Pick 118 – Andrew Stueber, OT (Michigan)
The Draft Network projects Andrew Stueber as a starting right tackle in the NFL so if the Saints can land a starting-caliber offensive tackle on Day 3, that’d be pretty damn impressive. NOLA has a starting right tackle already so Stueber maybe is used in more of a backup role or perhaps the team tries to transition either him or Ryan Ramczyk to the left side.
Stueber is at his best in a run-heavy offense, which would make him a solid fit in the Big Easy. I’m definitely intrigued by Stueber and they could possibly have the steal of the draft if the guy is a consistent starter in the next few years.
Round 4: Pick 136 – Josh Jobe, CB (Alabama)
The Saints are finally in a situation where they don’t desperately need to add a cornerback in the draft. Marshon Lattimore and Paulson Adebo give the team a nice pair in the secondary for the next several years.
That being said, Bradley Roby will likely be a cap casualty and that makes cornerback a second-tier need for this team. If that’s the case, Josh Jobe in the fourth round is a nice solution. The Draft Network lists Jobe as a boundary corner, meaning he’s not a fit for every situation but Dennis Allen would be able to carve out a role for him.
