Another Day 2 speedy target for New Orleans is Calvin Austin III, who ran a 4.32 40 at the Combine. That’s damn fast and it’d be a lot of fun to see the Memphis product in this Saints offense for the next four years at the very least.

Austin had a very impressive senior season with the Tigers, hauling in 74 receptions for 1,149 yards and eight touchdowns. The year before he had 11 touchdowns and went over the 1,000-yard mark again, proving that he’s capable of being explosive in multiple seasons.

What makes Austin a more intriguing option than Moore is not only that he’s faster (even if by just a smidge) and he can be used in a variety of ways offensively. Moore is a damn good slot receiver option but Austin could be a WR2 for the Saints who could work in the slot if they wanted him to.

Austin should be available in the third round of the draft so if the Saints don’t end up addressing the position in the first or second round, Calvin Austin could still give them a dominant weapon when they go to make their pick in round three.
