The New Orleans Saints had a weird season in 2021 and were hoping to get more out of some of their players. These four players showed glimpses of potential and the team is hoping they’ll ride that train in 2022.

Whether these guys were expected to have a big season due to unforeseen circumstances, were a high draft pick, or just haven’t delivered so far, there’s reason to believe these guys will have their best season yet in 2022.

Let’s take a look at four Saints who are on the rise for the 2022 season.

4. Paulson Adebo

Rookie third-round pick Paulson Adebo wasn’t expected to be the contributor that he was last year but he was so impressive that now NOLA will likely cut Bradley Roby and won’t make cornerback a major priority this offseason.

Adebo finished his rookie campaign with 66 tackles, eight defended passes, and three interceptions while starting all 17 games. PFF gave him a grade of 60.3 and the rookie woes were certainly there but for the most part, there was a lot to like about Adebo and what he brought to the NOLA defense.

With one year of pro football under his belt, Adebo should be even better and could become one of the best young cornerbacks in the league in 2022.
