More than likely (pun not intended), the Saints will turn to the draft to find a tight end. If they draft one early, one of the best on the board is Coastal Carolina’s Isaiah Likely, who clocks in at 6’4″ and 240 pounds.

The Draft Network states that Likely is someone who can play three different roles as a tight including traditional Y, flex, or H-back. This makes him a valuable player who could be utilized in a variety of ways in the Saints’ offense.

Keith Sanchez of The Draft Network wrote:

"In the NFL, Likely will be best served as an offensive weapon, he has the athleticism, toughness, and natural hands to play all over the field and should serve as a mismatch for offenses."

Likely finished the 2021 season with 59 receptions for 912 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 12 touchdowns leap off the stat sheet and NOLA could most definitely use a tight end who can get open in the red zone and help put points on the board.

This is a player New Orleans would probably have to target in the second round but he’d be more than worth it.
