3. Washington Commanders

Who doesn’t want to be the first-ever quarterback of the Washington Commanders?

Similar to the Panthers, the Commanders have an early pick in the draft and could use that selection on a quarterback in the draft. Even if they do go that route, they could still look to add Winston in free agency and give them two options moving forward.

The quarterback position in Washington has been a disaster in recent years. While it wasn’t their fault that Alex Smith got injured to the point where he almost lost his life, not finding another option and giving them weapons to succeed is indeed their fault.

Taylor Heinicke wasn’t awful this past season but he’s not the answer in our nation’s capital. This team plays in a winnable division and has talent on both sides of the ball (Terry McLaurin, for example), which could appeal to Winston.

On the flip side, Washington is constantly ripped for how the organization is run and they’re not just a quarterback away from being good. Even when they made the playoffs in the 2020 season, they made it with a losing record.

The Commanders are an option, sure, but Winston hopefully avoids going there.
