Saints Free Agents in 2022

  • Terron Armstead
  • Marcus Williams

We’ll wrap up with the two biggest Saints set to hit free agency. Both of these guys have spent the entirety of their careers with the organization with Armstead playing there for nine years and Williams playing there for five years.

Armstead is one of the best left tackles in the league but injuries are why NOLA should let him sign elsewhere. He’s over 30 now and injury-prone offensive linemen over 30 aren’t great investments for any team. Let someone like the Bengals overspend on Armstead.

Williams is one of the best safeties and it’d be great if New Orleans could retain him but he might be too rich for their blood. Spotrac has his market value set at five years worth $75 million with Williams set to earn $15 million annually.

Don’t get me wrong, Williams is worthy of that kind of contract but the Saints probably won’t shell out that kind of money for a safety, even one that’s as good as Williams.
