Saints Free Agents in 2022

  • Kwon Alexander
  • Tre’Quan Smith
  • Jameis Winston

Alexander re-signed with the team after a promising 2020 campaign was cut short to injury and he lived up to the hype. The linebacker has struggled with injuries throughout his career but when he’s on the field and healthy, he makes a huge difference defensively.

Smith never did blossom into the WR2 that the Saints had hoped he would when they spent a third-round pick on him. Without Michael Thomas and entering a contract year, this was Smith’s season to prove he could be a top weapon in an offense but we never saw that from him.

Winston, like Alexander, has spent the past two seasons in New Orleans. He started seven games last year and his season ended in Week 8 when he tore his ACL and missed the rest of the 2021 campaign.

With Winston looking like the best free-agent quarterback, it might be more difficult for NOLA to re-sign him once again but hopefully, he wants to return and finish what he started in 2021.
