2. Re-sign Kwon Alexander

This one isn’t as big as the others on this list but make no mistake, Kwon Alexander is someone New Orleans needs to be doing whatever they can to retain the linebacker.

Alexander, a former fourth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, had the injury-prone label slapped on him after only appearing in all 16 regular-season games just once in his career. As a result, Alexander has bounced around the league, spending time with the Buccaneers, 49ers, and Saints.

When healthy, Alexander has been a great player and the NOLA Saints loved having him back in 2021. His PFF grade doesn’t reflect how much of an impact he had on this team. He made a huge difference in the linebacker corps and was a key member of the ferocious defense last season.

Alexander will enter his age-28 season next season and is still playing good football. While the Saints have Demario Davis and Pete Werner at the linebacker position, they still need to make a push to bring back Alexander.

The team got him for a bargain price last season but he’ll likely be in higher demand this offseason. Hopefully, he also wants to return to the Big Easy because this defense would love to have him back.
