The NOLA Saints are entering an intriguing offseason. They no longer have one of the best head coaches in the league and while their cap issues are something they can workaround, it’s not the best situation for a team with a new head coach to be in.

With this offseason being hugely important for New Orleans, they need to make sure they hop on the easiest decisions they can make regarding the roster to help the team.

Whether this is cutting someone for cap space, re-signing someone, or restructuring a contract, these are the four easiest moves for New Orleans to make in the 2022 offseason.

4. Cut Bradley Roby

While I’d be all for the Saints attempting to keep Bradley Roby, they’d have to do so with an extension. It seems like a foregone conclusion that Roby will be one of the Saints’ cap casualties this offseason due to the money they’d save by parting ways with him.

Cutting Roby before the June 1 deadline would save the team roughly $10 million, according to Spotrac, and that will go a long way toward getting the team back over the cap.

Roby was fine in 2021 but with the emergence of Paulson Adebo and Marshon Lattimore locked up to an extension, he’s expendable now. That’s why cutting him is one of the easiest decisions New Orleans can make this offseason.
