6 potential head coaches still available for NOLA Saints to consider
4. Aaron Glenn
Fans might remember Aaron Glenn as a player with the Saints organization back in 2008 and he also spent time with them as their defensive backs coach from 2016-2020. This past season, he followed Dan Campbell to Detroit and served as the Lions’ defensive coordinator.
According to sources, Glenn met with the team on Wednesday to interview for the head coaching position. It makes sense, as he spent five seasons with the team’s defense and is well-respected by the players in the locker room.
The Saints need someone who the players already know and respect and those are boxes Glenn can check off. He’s more of an under-the-radar type of candidate and while he’s not technically in-house, he’d make a lot of sense as the team’s next head coach.
While ultimately, Glenn probably doesn’t get the job, he’ll be someone you hear in the mix for other head coach positions in the future. He’s done a nice job with the Lions despite their three-wins and will be a hot name to watch down the road.
