Round 2: Pick 48 – Jahan Dotson, WR (Penn State)

Passing on a wide receiver in the first round was a huge risk for New Orleans but fortunately, one of the top names still fell to them in the second round.

Jahan Dotson finished his 2021 campaign with the Nittany Lions tallying 1,182 yards and 12 touchdowns through 12 games. The dude was a monster during his time at Penn State and he and Michael Thomas could be a dangerous duo in the Big Easy.

Something everyone needs to know about Dotson is that the guy is fast. Speed is always nice to have in an offense and Dotson displayed that speed during his three seasons with the Nittany Lions.

Getting the quarterback is now a top priority for the Saints and if they went with Howell in round one, giving him Dotson to throw to should help him out as a rookie.

806. . Offensive Tackle. Nittany Lions . Rasheed Walker. 102. player

Round 3: Pick 102 – Rasheed Walker, OT (Penn State)

Staying in State College, the Saints grab an offensive lineman that they hope can replace Terron Armstead should the long-time left tackle not return to New Orleans. Armstead is a free agent this offseason and while he’s been pretty banged up in recent years, good left tackles get paid handsomely and Armstead shouldn’t be an exception to that rule.

Walker spent his entire career at left tackle for the Nittany Lions, making 22 starts at the position and appearing in 26 total games. If the Saints are in a situation where they need to replace Armstead, Walker is someone to monitor.
