The New Orleans Saints have a wide receiver problem so they address it in this Saints mock draft. It’s the first mock draft we’ve done since Sean Payton made the announcement to step away from the organization and take a break from coaching.

NOLA has Michael Thomas on the roster but we haven’t seen him dominate since the 2019 season so, at this point, it makes sense for the team to heavily address the wide receiver position in the 2022 NFL Draft.

In this particular mock draft, which I conducted through Pro Football Network, New Orleans didn’t just add one or two receivers, they added three through seven rounds. Honestly, fans might not be that upset if that were to really happen, as the team’s receivers this past season left a lot to be desired.

Thomas missed all of last season and while Marquez Callaway came on strong at the end, he should not be expected to be WR1. Deonte Harris and Lil’Jordan Humphrey had some nice moments as well so there’s talent at the position but NOLA still needs to address it heavily this spring.

With all of that in mind, let’s jump into the first mock draft of the post-Sean Payton era.
