9. Aaron Rodgers

Fans don’t seem to really want Aaron Rodgers in New Orleans. That could be because of his cocky demeanor, reported selfish attitude, or just because they don’t like the guy but he was only listed in the comments as an option twice.

Rodgers caused quite the stir right before the 2021 NFL Draft and threatened to retire if the GM wasn’t let go. The GM was retained and Rodgers ended up returning to the Packers but seemed determined to make it his final season in Green Bay.

There was a brief rumbling about Rodgers landing in New Orleans in 2022 but acquiring the three-time MVP would not come cheap. Considering NOLA is in cap hell as it is, could you imagine how much deeper in cap hell they’d be if they gave up a king’s ransom to land Rodgers?

New Orleans also doesn’t have the weapons to lure Rodgers in. Sure, they have Alvin Kamara and might have a healthy Michael Thomas in 2022, but that’s about it. Signing Davante Adams would be difficult considering the aforementioned cap issues so if he’s wanting to go somewhere and bring his guy with him, NOLA probably isn’t the right spot for him.

Another thing to tackle is the drama that Rodgers brings with him. This could be why Saints fans don’t want to see him on the team, as the organization has done a nice job creating a good locker room environment. Rodgers could destroy that with his ego.

Corral is a more likely option than Rodgers but he was mentioned more than the Ole Miss product so he’s on spot ahead of him on the list.
