1. Jameis Winston
The most common answer to “Who will start for the Saints in Week 1 of 2022?” was Jameis Winston and I wasn’t shocked to see his name pop up the most.
Winston has been in New Orleans for the past two seasons and got a chance to start this year. He was looking decent through the first eight games but unfortunately was injured and the position has been in shambles ever since.
During his time in the Big Easy, Winston has signed two separate one-year deals and it’s possible he gets another one-year deal this offseason. Other teams might be interested in bringing him in but hopefully he looks at the opportunity he has in New Orleans, especially after his injury, and comes back for year three.
Jameis Winston feels like the most likely option to be the Saints’ starting quarterback in Week 1 of the 2022 season but we’ll have to wait and see.
