New Orleans Saints Resolutions for 2022

Add weapons on offense

There’s no need to sugarcoat this — The Saints’ offense was bad in 2021. Bad seems to be too nice of a word honestly.

The reason New Orleans’ offense was so anemic was that they had little talent at the wide receiver and tight end positions. Michael Thomas never played a down in 2021, Tre’Quan Smith disappointed once again, and Adam Trautman looks more and more like a bust as the weeks pass.

In 2022, the Saints have to address the wide receiver and tight end positions. Maybe they turn to the draft to do so and that’s okay but they have to give whoever their quarterback is in 2022 major help.

Thomas should return next season, which helps, but as we saw from this season, the team shouldn’t bank solely on that because look what happened.

Adding offensive weapons has to be one of the biggest resolutions for New Orleans in 2022.
