The New Orleans Saints are fortunate that they’re not set to lose too many moving parts in the 2022 offseason. This is an organization that’s done a good job at keeping the key players in the Big Easy but that might be easier said than done when the 2021 NFL season concludes in February.

Here are three pending Saints free agents who fans will greatly miss in 2022 (assuming they’re not brought back, of course).

3. Kwon Alexander

As is the case with the other two players on this list, there’s certainly a chance that Kwon Alexander re-signs with the Saints in the offseason. After all, the guy seems to love playing in front of the Who Dat Nation, and in return, New Orleans has embraced Alexander.

The former LSU Tiger has ties to Louisiana, so I wouldn’t rule out a return for Alexander.

That being said, it wouldn’t be shocking if another team saw how valuable Alexander is and signed him to a bigger contract than what New Orleans can afford.

Alexander might not have a flashy PFF grade but he’s always out there making key tackles when need be. He’s given the Saints new life at the linebacker position and when he and Demario Davis are both on the field, fans feel good about the opposing rushing attack not having a big day.

Alexander’s injury history is why he was still available late in the 2021 offseason and maybe the Saints will be fortunate to re-sign him. If they can’t, he’ll be deeply missed.
