Saints Game Sunday: Saints vs Panthers odds and prediction for NFL Week 17 game
The New Orleans Saints have two games remaining in the 2021 season and the first of those two games comes against the Carolina Panthers. The last time these two teams met was in Week 2 of the season and boy, a lot has changed since then!
In that game, the Panthers beat up on the Saints, who had several coaches out due to COVID-19 positive tests and a bunch of injured players out as well. The final score reflected both of those things.
After the Panthers got off to a 3-0 start, they added two stellar cornerbacks but it’s been mostly downhill ever since. Cam Newton tried to save the day for Carolina again but that was short-lived. Newton and Sam Darnold both got reps against the Buccaneers this past weekend and we might see a similar strategy play out this weekend.

Carolina has their fair share of problems, sure, but it still feels odd that New Orleans is favored by a touchdown over them. Anything can happen in divisional games, as NOLA has found out the hard way this season, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Panthers pull out a win in Week 17.
With NOLA having more to play for, however, and hopefully getting their key players off the COVID-19 list, I do predict they’ll win this one. Let’s go with a 20-14 New Orleans Saints victory over the Carolina Panthers in the second to last game of the season.
