Week 16 gives us a battle of the 7-7 squads on Monday Night Football as it’ll be the New Orleans Saints against the Miami Dolphins.

A few weeks ago, this matchup looked terrible and one that many people weren’t excited to watch in primetime, Now, however, both teams have battled back to get to .500 and that makes this game far more enticing.

Ian Book will make his first NFL start due to Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian landing on the COVID-19 list. It’s a big moment for Book, who has been active for just one game this season but has yet to take a snap as a pro quarterback.

Saints Injury Report vs Dolphins Week 16

The following players are QUESTIONABLE for Monday’s game (COVID-19 positive players not included):

OT Terron Armstead

DE Marcus Davenport

WR Tre’Quan Smith

S Marcus Williams

Terron Armstead Injury Update

The NOLA left tackle has been banged up on and off throughout the season and did not practice throughout the week. That’s not a great sign that he’ll suit up for the Monday night showdown against the Dolphins but he’s listed as questionable. There’s no doubt that the team could desperately use him.

Saints vs Dolphins Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 16

Per WynnBET, the Dolphins are favored by 2.5 points, which isn’t shocking considering NOLA will have a rookie making his NFL debut. New Orleans’ money line is +120 and Miami’s is set at -140. The over/under is set at 37.5 points, which feels like one of the lowest over/unders I’ve seen all year, but is anyone surprised?

Book making his first start at quarterback is going to make it challenging for the Saints but the Dolphins aren’t a team to be afraid of. They’re on a six-game win streak but they’ve played some really bad teams during that time. New Orleans’ defense is going to have to play a near-perfect game once again and I predict they’ll do just that.

I might be crazy but I’m calling for a 17-10 New Orleans Saints victory on Monday Night Football, giving Book the first win of his NFL career.
