NOLA Saints Bold Prediction No. 2: Defense pitches another near-perfect game

While they won’t get the shutout for the second straight week, New Orleans’ defense knows they have to be near-perfect once again. This is the trend this year, as they’ve had to make plays in order to keep the team in games.

This past week, they showed how good they are by keeping Tom Brady and the explosive Bucs offense out of the end zone and off the scoreboard altogether. It was an impressive outing and while Tua Tagovailoa isn’t anywhere close to being Brady, getting a second consecutive shutout isn’t a bold prediction I’m willing to make.

What I am comfortable predicting, however, is that the Saints defense puts on another solid show. They keep the Dolphins out of the end zone and hold the ‘Fins to just six points on the evening.

With my prediction of Book throwing for at least one touchdown, that gives the Saints enough points to win their third game in a row.

We’ll see if any defensive players end up being out due to COVID-19 but if the typical starters are out there and ready to go, predicting them to limit the Dolphins to six points wouldn’t be shocking in the least bit.
