The New Orleans Saints (7-7) are fresh off a shutout victory over the Buccaneers and will play in primetime once again in Week 16. This time, they’ll face the Miami Dolphins (7-7) in two teams battling for a Wild Card spot in their respective conferences.

Both teams have had interesting seasons where they’re ridden extreme streaks of some kind. The Saints were on a five-game losing streak after sitting at 5-2 to drop to 5-7. They’ve rattled off two straight wins and are back to .500 and, as of now, in the playoff picture if the season ended today.

The Dolphins started the season 1-7 and looked dead in the water. Miami was reportedly interested in trading for Deshaun Watson and maybe that’s lit a fire under Tua Tagovailoa, who has led his team to six straight wins since that miserable start. Tagovailoa hasn’t been the greatest quarterback during that time but he and his team keep finding ways to win and that’s all that matters.

This Monday night matchup looked horrible a few weeks ago but now it’s pretty spicy.

Saints vs Dolphins Week 16 Odds

WynnBET has New Orleans as a 3-point favorite over the Dolphins with a money line of -165. Miami’s money line sits at +145. The over/under of points is set at 39.0, which is quite low, but if you’ve seen these two offenses play, that shouldn’t surprise you.

Saints vs Dolphins Week 16 Prediction

Both of these teams are on a roll right now so something has to give, right? Unless the game ends in a tie, either the Dolphins’ six-game win streak will come to an end or the Saints’ two-game win streak will be over.

New Orleans has the better defense between the two so if the offense can muster up more than three measly field goals, they should be able to win this game. I didn’t think there was any chance in hell that NOLA would knock off Tampa Bay last week because of their lack of offense but the defense played a perfect game, as they’ve essentially needed to all year long.

With all of that in mind, I’ll predict the Saints move to 8-7 on the year with a 20-14 victory over the red-hot ‘Fins.
