5. Marquez Callaway

Before the 2021 season began, fans were excited to see what Marquez Callaway could do in a bigger role. He showed potential last year and with the team desperate for any kind of playmaker to step up this season, we thought maybe it’d be easier for Callaway to shine.

Well, Callaway hasn’t been the player we were hoping for but he had a career game on Sunday night. The UDFA out of Tennessee finished with six catches for 112 yards and looked like the preseason version we saw. Perhaps a better quarterback could get Callaway more involved because he showed how good he can be when the ball is thrown his way.

4. C.J. Gardner-Johnson

It’s good to have C.J. Gardner-Johnson back, isn’t it? The safety not only talked trash throughout the game but he backed up the trash talk, finishing the game with seven tackles, one defended pass, and an interception off of Tom Brady that essentially iced the game.

Gardner-Johnson is looking like one of the best fourth-round picks in Saints history. Hopefully they can find a way to extend him when that time comes.

3. Brett Maher

The Saints scored nine points on Sunday night with all nine of those points coming off the foot of Brett Maher. Considering the Saints’ kicking woes earlier in the season, Maher has been a wonderful addition to this team. He most definitely deserves to be listed here because he scored every point for the team.
