Week 18 – @ Falcons (Sunday, Jan. 9 — 12:00 CST)

When the Saints and Falcons first met this season, Atlanta won with a last-second field goal. It was a gut-wrenching loss for a Saints squad that was 5-2 at the time and could have vied for the division title with a win against the Dirty Birds.

Hill dominated the Falcons last year, going 2-0 against them and rushing for a total of 132 yards and two touchdowns in his two games against them. He also passed for two touchdowns against them in his second match-up against them a season ago.

As crazy as it is to think about, the Falcons are in the running to make the playoffs as of now and they hold the tiebreaker over the Saints right now for that week 9 win. If the Falcons have the same record as NOLA in the final week of the season, that week 18 game could determine which of these teams go to the playoffs.

While the Saints are the better team on paper, the Falcons should be able to pull off the sweep this year.

21. 15. 24. 44. Prediction

I predict New Orleans will go 2-2 down the stretch giving them an 8-9 record to finish the season and likely missing out on the playoffs. I’m not sure Saints fans would be too disappointed if this year’s team missed the playoffs because they’re not equipped to make a deep run in January.
