The latest New Orleans Saints mock draft saw the first two picks go in the exact same way they did in our previous mock draft, with them landing a wide receiver who can take the top off of defenses and a quarterback who provides promise for the future.

I used Pro Football Network‘s mock draft simulator for this and it’s a great tool to use for any draft nerd out there. Let’s dive right in, starting with the Saints’ first-round pick.

player. 812. . Wide Receiver. Buckeyes . Chris Olave. 13

Round 1: Pick 13 – Chris Olave, WR (Ohio State)

If Chris Olave is available when the Saints are on the board, it honestly might not matter who else is available (except maybe Garrett Wilson) because this team needs a wide receiver like Captain America needs his shield. Maybe more so since Cap is strong without the shield. We’ve seen how bad these receivers are.

Olave has played in 11 games this year and has 65 grabs for 936 yards and 13 touchdowns. The dude catches whatever comes his way and he’d be the wide receiver the Saints offense has been dreaming of.

Pairing Olave with Michael Thomas, another former Ohio State wideout, would take the Saints’ wide receivers from mediocre to mesmerizing. If the Saints keep winning games, they might miss out on Olave, as he’ll probably go somewhere between picks 10-15.
