2. Kwon Alexander
Last offseason we all wanted to see Kwon Alexander come back to New Orleans and while it happened later than we’d have liked, the important thing is that he’s back. The Saints were able to get Alexander back because of his injury history and we’ve seen that play out during his time in the Big Easy.
Injuries are an issue for Alexander, yes, but when the former fourth-rounder is on the field, he’s terrific. He’s appeared in nine games and made five starts this year and has been a huge playmaker for New Orleans during that time.
Alexander might be more popular in free agency this offseason but hopefully his injury history and him enjoying his time in New Orleans propels him to stick with the black and gold. Pairing Alexander with Demario Davis and Pete Werner makes the linebacker position a dangerous one for NOLA.
Alexander turns 28 next summer too so he’s still young enough to contribute. I’d love to see the Saints keep him around for another year or two.
