The New Orleans Saints have 11 players set to be unrestricted free agents this offseason and while it’d be great to keep them all around, the chances of that happening are highly unlikely. The reason NOLA can’t expect to keep a lot of their players is due to them having little money.

With all of that in mind, let’s take a look at four free agents who the Saints should try their best to keep in black and gold next season.

4. P.J. Williams

P.J. Williams, a former third-round pick out of Florida State in 2016, is slated to hit free agency after spending his entire career with the Saints. He’s never been a starter during his time in the Big Easy but he’s a consistent contributor in the secondary and that’ll be something the team misses if they can’t retain him.

Williams currently has a PFF grade of 68.1 and has been tremendous this year through 13 games and three starts. He’s picked off three passes, taking one to the house while also notching 33 tackles, three QB hits, and one sack during that time.

Williams should be an affordable option in free agency and considering he’s spent the entirety of his career with the Saints, that could be enough to keep him in New Orleans. Fingers crossed.
