The NOLA Saints are favored over a team for the first time in what feels like an eternity, sitting as 5.5-point favorites over the NY Jets, per WynnBET. This is the perfect game to get the Saints back in the win column. Does Madden see that happening?

New Orleans has lost five straight games after sitting at 5-2 and looking like one of the surprise teams of the season. They’re now 5-7 and their playoff hopes are dangling by a thread.

The Jets aren’t anywhere close to sniffing the playoffs but they’re a young team. Winning helps build this young squad’s confidence so don’t expect them to lie down and let the Saints run all over them.

Madden Simulation – NOLA Saints 17, NY Jets 10

Saints Stats

  • Taysom Hill – 9-of16, 87 yards, 2 INT; 22 carries, 110 yards, TD
  • Alvin Kamara – 17 carries, 83 yards, TD
  • Tre’Quan Smith – 3 rec, 18 yards
  • Marquez Callaway – 2 rec, 12 yards
  • Demario Davis – 12 tackles
  • Cameron Jordan – Sack
  • Kwon Alexander – Sack
  • Paulson Adebo – INT
  • Marshon Lattimore – INT

Jets Stats

  • Zach Wilson – 17-of-34, 116 yards, 2 INT
  • Ty Johnson – 13 carries, 47 yards, TD
  • Elijah Moore – 7 rec, 78 yards
  • C.J. Mosley – 9 tackles
  • Bryce Hall – INT
  • Quincy Williams – INT

If this is how the game plays out, then woof. Taysom Hill throwing for just 87 yards and no touchdowns but two interceptions would be laughably bad, even if he does end the game with over 100 yards rushing. If Zach Wilson ends up outplaying Hill, that’d be really embarrassing for the Saints.

This is only a simulation but sadly, fans wouldn’t be surprised to see the game look something like this. Madden does see New Orleans winning the game, for what it’s worth, but it’d be an incredibly ugly win and wouldn’t have the fans feeling much better about this team.

"NOLA Saints: 6 college prospects who could replace Tre’Quan Smith"

A win would be nice but if it comes in this ugly of a fashion, fans honestly might not mind the team losing so that they can have a higher draft pick.
