1. Terron Armstead

The biggest loss for the NOLA Saints this offseason would actually be Marcus Williams but I do believe they’ll find a way to keep their former second-round safety in the Big Easy.

Terron Armstead, on the other hand, should be someone the team parts ways with. Obviously Armstead is a talented tackle and he’s proven that during his nine-year career with the Saints.

The issue with Armstead is that he’s struggled to stay healthy throughout his career. He’s yet to appear in all 16 games during the regular season and this current season has seen him appear in just seven games while missing five of them.

Left tackles are important, don’t get me wrong, but Armstead is on the wrong side of 30 now and with NOLA’s financial issues, they shouldn’t overpay to keep an injury-prone tackle on their roster. For whatever reason, Sean Payton has been good at finding tackles (just not guards) so rolling with either James Hurst or Landon Young next year or turning to the draft to fill the need at left tackle wouldn’t be a terrible idea.

I’d be surprised if Terron Armstead is still a Saint in 2022.
