The New Orleans Saints lost their fifth-straight game on Thursday night and it’s the first time under Sean Payton that NOLA has lost five straight games. Not good.
Let’s jump right into the winners and losers from this week’s game, shall we?
Winner: Marshon Lattimore
After some rough games, Marshon Lattimore came to play against the ‘Boys. Ross Jackson summed it up well in a tweet the day after the game, noting that he surrendered six catches for 50 yards, but the longest play he gave up was for 17 yards. Against a Cowboys offense with so much firepower, this is a very impressive performance from Lattimore.
#Saints CB Marshon Lattimore with a nice game against Dallas.

10 targets, 6 catches, 50 yards might feel like a lot.
But long of only 17 yards, 7 YAC allowed, 2 PBUs, and the INT generate a 33.3 passer rating when targeted. Covered 5 different targeted route runners.
Winner: Kwon Alexander
I’m so glad New Orleans was able to re-sign Kwon Alexander over the summer because, when healthy, he’s fantastic. He led the Saints in tackles on Thursday with nine and had a key tackle on a third-down attempt by the Cowboys.
Alexander is going to be a free agent this summer and the Saints, once again, need to make re-signing him a priority. Yes, he’s battled injuries throughout his career, but look how good he is when he’s healthy! He’s a huge difference-maker on defense and it appears he likes playing for this team. Get him re-signed.
