2. Taysom Hill Scores First (+850)

Mark Ingram is listed as the most likely Saint to find the end zone first at +600 and I totally understand why Ingram would get that honor. With Alvin Kamara out, Ingram will get plenty of opportunities to run with the football.

Taysom Hill has the second-best odds to score first with +850 and this feels like a great bet to make. We know that Hill is starting at quarterback and that means the offense will be opened up more. With Hill having the ability to score either through the air or on the ground, I like his chances of scoring first for the Saints.

1. Tre’Quan Smith Receptions (3.5)

With no Michael Thomas, the best wide receiver on the Saints’ roster is probably Tre’Quan Smith. He hasn’t been the best wideout this year due to injuries but we have seen improvements from the guy in what could very well be the final year of his contract.

Smith’s receptions are set at 3.5 and he’s gone over that number in each of his last three games, which makes me feel confident in betting the over here. Last week saw Smith haul in four receptions, the week before he went for five receptions, and the week prior he had four receptions.

Maybe Hill doesn’t look Smith’s way as often as Trevor Siemian did, but this is a prop bet you can feel good about if you bet the over.
