This season hasn’t gone according to plan for the New Orleans Saints, as they sit at 5-6 and on the outside of the playoffs looking in. Throughout the season, there have been several players who fans have forgotten were even on the Saints roster.

Whether it’s injuries preventing these guys from doing much this season or their inability to showcase much when they have the chance to do so, these four players would merit an “Oh I forgot about him” response from fans.

Let’s get to it.

4. Malcolm Roach

Entering this season, Saints fans felt good about Malcolm Roach and what he could bring to the defense. He finished last year — which was his rookie campaign — with 16 tackles and two QB hits in nine games.

The UDFA out of Texas showed promise in year one and fans hoped it’d continue in year two, but unfortunately, the guy hasn’t been able to stay healthy this season. He’s appeared in six games with two starts under his belt and totaled seven tackles, one QB hit, one interception, and one defended pass.

Roach hasn’t been bad this season by any means but he’s definitely been more under-the-radar than we all expected. He’s currently on the Injured Reserve.
