Keondre Coburn. 214. player. 851. . Defensive Tackle. Longhorns

Round 6: Pick 214 – Keondre Coburn, DT (Texas)

Adding defensive line depth is a must in this draft and NOLA adds a massive one with their second-to-last pick. Keondre Coburn weighs in at 346 pounds and 6’2″ and would definitely give any d-line a huge boost upfront. Can you imagine trying to block this guy?

The Saints aren’t losing any huge names in free agency this offseason with Carl Granderson and Shy Tuttle being the only technical guys considered free agents. They’ll both be restricted, however, so it’s entirely possible that New Orleans doesn’t lose anyone in that department.

Coburn is still someone worth adding because he could give them a really huge defender on their defensive front. He has one sack this year so he might not add much in the pass-rushing department but it’d still be fun to see this guy rotate in and cause a ruckus.

813. . Linebacker. Hoosiers . Micah McFadden. 239. player

Round 7: Pick 239 – Micah McFadden, LB (Indiana)

With their final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints go with linebacker Micah McFadden. The Hoosiers defender is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker, who racked up 70 tackles with 15.5 of those coming for loss through 11 games.

NOLA should strongly consider bringing Kwon Alexander back once again but with his injury history, drafting a linebacker isn’t a bad idea. McFadden probably isn’t coming in as a star and may never blossom into one, but his 70 tackles and 6.5 sacks with the Hoosiers is nothing to scoff at. This kid could fit right into the Saints’ defense.
