In this New Orleans Saints 7-round mock draft, the black and gold don’t ignore their problems on offense, spending five of their first seven picks on that side of the ball.

One thing has become painfully obvious as the New Orleans Saints dropped to 5-6 after a 5-2 start less than a month ago — Their offense can’t move the ball.

As a result, the Saints have no excuses this offseason; They HAVE to spend picks on offense and get that side of the ball fixed. If they don’t, we’ll continue to see this team struggle.

Let’s check out this 7-round Saints mock draft, courtesy of Pro Football Network’s mock draft simulator!

Round 1: Pick 19 – Treylon Burks, WR (Arkansas)

Unless they sign a big-name receiver or trade for one this offseason, the Saints have put themselves in a situation where they almost have Treylon Burks to take a wide receiver in the first round. Fans would jump for freaking joy if Burks fell to No. 19.

Burks had a nice 2020 season but really exploded onto the scene this year. During the 2021 campaign at Arkansas, Burks tallied 67 receptions for 1,123 yards and 11 touchdowns and also made an impact as a rusher with 112 yards and another score, giving him 1,235 yards and 12 total touchdowns on the year.

Burks would give Sean Payton a versatile weapon on offense and we know how dangerous he can be when he has a player like Burks. This would be a very popular first-round selection for New Orleans.
