Saints vs Eagles: Who are the experts picking for Week 11?
The New Orleans Saints head to Philadelphia as 2.5-point underdogs to the Eagles. It’s a tough game to pick considering how up and down both teams have been this year and as a result, the experts are a little torn on who to go with when making their predictions for this game.
Will Brinson of CBS Sports is going with the Saints and predicting them to win by a score of 27-21. Brinson writes:
"You can’t really run on the Saints, and if the Eagles put everything on Jalen Hurts, it will end the same as the early season games, with Hurts scoring in garbage time. Great fantasy play every single week, but the Saints might roll here."
Even with the Eagles’ big win over the Broncos last weekend, Hurts didn’t amass 200 yards passing and had just one touchdown pass on the afternoon. He won’t be the reason Philadelphia wins this game.
Bleacher Report thinks it’ll be a much closer game than Brinson and think that the Eagles will take this one home, winning it 21-20. They were pretty conflicted considering they didn’t know the status of Alvin Kamara, which could very easily sway things.
Who do the experts think are coming out victorious of Saints vs Eagles?
Pete Prisco of CBS Sports joined his colleague Brinson in picking New Orleans to win this game and he has them doing so with a 21-17 final. Prisco noted:
"The Saints are playing consecutive road games outside the division, which is tough. The Eagles impressed last week in winning at Denver and Jalen Hurts is improving by the week. But this Saints defense is good and I think it will slow the Eagles offense. Saints get by with just enough offense."
It’s understandable why the “experts” are in a bind when trying to pick a winner between these two very confusing teams. At times, New Orleans looks like they could be a Super Bowl contender but other weeks come out flat and unable to do much of anything.
The Eagles, on the other hand, have been mostly uninspiring this season but took it to a hot Broncos team last weekend. This year in the NFL is confusing, that’s for sure.
