The NOLA Saints lost to the Titans on Sunday in a 23-21 final. The ending felt similar to how the team lost last week, with the offense coming to life in the final quarter after being worthless in the first three quarters of action.

It wasn’t easy coming up with winners from this game but I found a few. After all, New Orleans only lost by two points so it wasn’t the blowout that we all thought it would be after that terrible call by the refs in the second quarter.

Let’s take a look at the winners and losers from this disappointing loss that dropped NOLA to 5-4 on the year.

Loser: Refs

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the terrible roughing the passer call in the second quarter. The Saints had stopped the Titans on 3rd and Goal but a BS roughing the passer penalty called on Kaden Elliss gave Tennessee a first down and they went on to score a touchdown not long after.

These kinds of calls completely change games and unfortunately, it went against the Saints, something fans are used to. Had the Saints held the Titans to the field goal that would have likely followed without the flag, New Orleans probably goes on to win this game. We’ll never know what would have transpired though.
