Mark Ingram has officially become the Saints’ all-time rushing leader
By Kristen Wong
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram just broke an incredible franchise record in Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans.
On his ninth carry of the game, Ingram passed Deuce McAllister for the most rushing yards in Saints franchise history (6,102 yards).
Since his trade to NOLA, Ingram has run for 70 yards on 15 carries in two games. With No. 1 running back Alvin Kamara sidelined in Week 10, Ingram had his best chance to overtake McAllister, needing only 20 yards to do so.
In the third quarter, he accomplished the mark with a 6-yard run. Ingram has nine carries for 25 yards so far.

When Ingram left the Saints in 2018, he was 90 yards from breaking McAllister’s franchise record, which stood at of 6,096 yards.
The former Houston Texan was traded to New Orleans in October, and his reunion with Kamara has been especially heartwarming for Saints fans everywhere.
Ingram recently spoke to reporters about the prospect of becoming the Saints’ all-time rushing leader:
"“It’d be a blessing. It’s something that, so many great running backs have come through the New Orleans Saints program and especially Deuce. I looked up to him growing up, watching him run the rock, so just to be able to be mentioned with those type of players, that’s something I’m proud of, something I worked very hard for.”"
Ingram notes that his end goal is just to win games for the Saints, though, and as long as he’s around, he’ll continue being a huge help in the backfield.
