1. Teddy Bridgewater

Anytime I see a highlight from Teddy Bridgewater in a Broncos uniform, I just want to play that “Baby come back” song loudly.

As we’re all aware, Bridgewater is beloved in New Orleans, and for good reason. The former first-round pick served as Drew Brees’ back up in the 2018 season and then chose to re-sign and remain a backup in 2019 despite receiving offers to be a starter elsewhere.

Brees went down with an injury in 2019 and missed five starts but that was nothing for Teddy B, who went 5-0 in Brees’ absence. The hot performances from Bridgewater led to him getting a three-year deal with the Panthers, which ended poorly. He was traded to Denver this offseason but has played well for the Broncos.

Bridgewater is slated to hit free agency this spring and the Saints need to strongly consider bringing him back to the Big Easy. He just turned 29 on Nov. 10, which is relatively young for a quarterback.

While the Saints need to draft a quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft, there isn’t a guy in this upcoming draft who appears to be start-worthy in 2022. That’s why bringing Bridgewater in next year and even for 2023 could benefit the offense greatly.
