4 positions New Orleans Saints might target before trade deadline
2. Tight End
Adam Trautman and Juwan Johnson aren’t getting the job done. Maybe having Nick Vannett in the lineup, whenever that happens, will help but right now, it’s obvious that the Saints don’t have a quality tight end on the roster.
The Cardinals traded for Zach Ertz a few weeks ago for barely anything at all so if that’s the going rate for a decent tight end, why can’t the Saints make a deal and land someone?
Eric Ebron, Evan Engram, and Gerald Everett are names the Saints could be interested in, as all three are pending free agents who could provide a punch to this offense. Ebron might not be available as the Steelers are still in the thick of things in the AFC North but both Engram of the Giants and Everett of the Seahawks should be names to monitor.
With a backup quarterback leading the way for the rest of the season, the New Orleans Saints need to add weapons and adding a viable tight end before the deadline would be a smart business decision for the black and gold.
