The New Orleans Saints are a hard team to figure out after their 4-2 start. They might be two games over .500 but it’s clear this team needs help, especially on the offensive side of the ball. That has to be where the team is focused in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Yes, their cornerback position could be better but Marshon Lattimore was extended through 2026 earlier this season and Bradley Roby is under contract through the end of next year. Paulson Adebo has also shown promise as a rookie. I feel much better about the cornerback position now than I did a few weeks ago, that’s for sure.

Pass rush is certainly somewhere the team could improve but they don’t need to do it in the first round. Marcus Davenport, when healthy, is legit and Payton Turner should be joining the sack party by season’s end.

It’s hard to peg where the Saints will be drafting at because of how up and down they’ve been this season, so we’ll look at prospects all over the first-round board. We’ll start with a wide receiver who the Saints have been linked to in several mock drafts already and could be a realistic target for them.
