After a BYE week that’s felt like it’s lasted forever, the New Orleans Saints return to action tonight against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. It’ll be the Saints’ first primetime game of the season, but not their last.

This Saints/Seahawks showdown will look different than those in the past, as we obviously won’t have Drew Brees quarterbacking NOLA and Russell Wilson is on the sidelines for Seattle while he recovers from an injury. Wilson hadn’t missed a single start in his decade-long career until last week when he had to miss Sunday Night Football against Pittsburgh.

Not having Wilson definitely tips the scale in New Orleans’ favor and this defense is playing well enough to shut Geno Smith down completely, just like they shockingly did to Aaron Rodgers in Week 1.

What kind of game will we have at Lumen Field?

Saints Injury Report vs Seahawks Week 7

The following players have been ruled out for Monday’s game:

Wide Receiver Deonte Harris

Quarterback Taysom Hill

Defensive End Payton Turner

Running Back Dwayne Washington

Taysom Hill Injury Update

The last time we saw the Saints in action, Taysom Hill was getting carted off the field after taking a blow to the head by William Jackson of Washington. Hill did not return to the game and despite the long BYE week, will not be suiting up for Monday Night Football. He’s OUT for this game.

Saints vs Seahawks Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 7

Per WynnBET, the Saints are 4.5-point road favorites with a moneyline grab of -220 while Seattle’s moneyline sits at +185. The over/under is set at 42.5.

New Orleans probably wouldn’t be this large of a favorite if Wilson was playing and while Smith is a massive step down from the future Hall of Fame quarterback, this Saints team has been wildly inconsistent through their first five games. NOLA should win but I could definitely see Seattle covering. Let’s go with a final score of Saints 24, Seahawks 21.
