Whenever there’s any talk of the New Orleans Saints making a trade, wide receiver is going to be listed. That’s because it’s an incredibly thin group in the Big Easy and it’s made things difficult for the offense to get going early on.

While Marquez Callaway and Deonte Harris are starting to show they can be consistently reliable targets, one more wide receiver would really put this group over the top, especially if Michael Thomas also is able to return soon. That’d give Jameis Winston four decent targets throughout the rest of the season.

The Steelers have more receivers than they know what to do with and that’s why James Washington is someone they might be willing to part with. Washington hasn’t gotten the kind of attention many thought he’d get in the Steel City and this season has been a similar story, as the former Oklahoma State product has just 10 catches for 108 yards and no touchdowns.

Washington would be put right to work in New Orleans and with the Steelers in last place in the AFC North (a gauntlet of a division, might I add), they should strongly consider selling before the deadline. If Washington is available, NOLA should most definitely inquire about him.
