The New Orleans Saints are over .500 and while the NFC South title might be difficult with how dominant the Buccaneers have looked, this team could still make the playoffs and possibly go on a run once they get there.

In order to make their playoff dreams come true, the Saints might have to make a few trades to bolster their roster. Here are three trades the black and gold should make before the deadline, which is in early November, arrives.

It’s a safe bet that the Lions are going to be sellers and the Saints should definitely look to Detroit to bolster their team. In particular, they should inquire about Jonah Jackson. The left guard position is in serious need of a boost, as Andrus Peat has been very up and down since joining the team.

Jackson, on the other hand, is a good left guard and would fill Peat’s shoes with ease. He’s been a nice help in the run game for the Lions and has two years left on his contract following this year, meaning he could be in the plans past 2021.

Jackson is only 24 years old and has yet to miss a start during his career. He’d be the perfect option to slot in at left guard moving forward.
