3. Tyler Lockett

The biggest flopper in the NFL is also one of Seattle’s greatest threats in 2021.

Tyler Lockett has made a career out of diving to the ground, but it turns out he’s pretty good at diving to catch footballs, too. The seventh-year wide receiver earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in his rookie year for Seattle when he caught 51 passes for 664 yards and six touchdowns.

Unfortunately for New Orleans, Lockett has only gotten better.

After posting back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 2019 and 2020, Lockett has become the team’s most consistent wideout target, behind only a certain other player who shall not be named just yet. (Hint: his first name initials match those of a beloved video game character).

Lockett’s speed, route-running abilities, and ball-tracking skills have helped him flourish under the arm of Russell Wilson, and even though Wilson will be sidelined for a number of weeks, Lockett is still the kind of player who can make an impact against NOLA.

Lockett has recently been identified as one of the most “underrated” receivers in the league, but Pete Carroll and his teammates know his worth and have been paying him as the elite, productive talent he is.

He’s hauled in 425 yards so far through six weeks, averaging 15.7 yards per catch. While he had an eerily quiet game in Week 6’s loss to the Steelers, he might be looking for a secondary he can beat up. The Saints should have their guard up against him.
