The NOLA Saints are coming off the BYE week and despite a 3-2 start, the season has had its fair share of ups and downs. In each of the Saints’ three wins, they’ve blown out the opposition but the losses have been frustrating, to say the least.

Let’s take a look at three of the biggest headaches New Orleans has had to deal with through the first six weeks of the season.

Injuries

This is an easy one, as it’s played a major factor in why the Saints have been so hit and miss. Week 2 was the most frustrating game yet, as several Saints missed the game due to injury.

As of now, the biggest names who were placed on IR were Kwon Alexander, Marcus Davenport, Wil Lutz, and Tre’Quan Smith while Michael Thomas was on the PUP list and Terron Armstead and Erik McCoy both have missed several games as well. It’s been a lot of key players missing games for the black and gold and it’s shown on the field.

Injuries are a part of the game but the Saints have definitely had bad luck in that department. Here’s to hoping they get healthy and can come in and make a splash after the BYE week.
